Serene and sumptuous, Morukuru Lodge provides an indulgent retreat for six adults and up to four children. Three airy bedrooms boast cosy fireplaces and large screened doors opening onto tree-shaded private balconies. Spacious bathrooms feature deep baths with a view of the bush and both indoor and outdoor showers. Suitable for up to four children, the kids' room has a television, DVD player and satellite access.
Meals are prepared by a private chef and served in the superbly appointed living area, out on the deck in the morning sunshine, al fresco in the shaded gardens, by star and candle light on the broad pool deck overlooking the Marico River or around a crackling bonfire in the traditional open-air boma. The peaceful living room boast deep, comfortable couches, open fireplaces for chilly nights and spectacular bush views. The heated infinity pool is surrounded by comfortable loungers, ideal for a relaxing after a cooling dip. A wooden veranda surrounds the entire lodge, leading to a raised walkway that follows the river banks. Guests can explore their surroundings on game drives, bush walks and fishing safaris or indulge in birdwatching in the riverside thickets.
