Rovos Rail offers its guests truly world-class travel experiences and safari stops in destinations such as Victoria Falls and Dar es Salaam. The trains carry a maximum of 72 passengers in 36 superbly appointed suites. The epitome of luxury, with handsome wood panelling and period Edwardian features, these air conditioned suites accommodate two people, offering the option of twin or comfortable double beds. Suites are also furnished with a personal bar, a safe for valuables and beautiful ensuite bathrooms that boast original fittings, as well as a hot shower, hair dryer and plugs for electrical shavers.
A charming Victorian dining car serves sumptuous meals (prepared with only the freshest local ingredients), which are complemented with a selection of excellent South African wines. There’s also a rear observation car to fully enjoy far-reaching views, a cocktail lounge and a comfortable sitting room for guests’ enjoyment - this truly is an unrivalled African encounter!
