Nestled in the unspoilt wilderness of the beautiful Omboroko Mountains is the superlative Okonjima Bush Camp. Okonjima (meaning the place of the baboons) offers a friendly atmosphere and unrivalled wilderness viewing. Guests can enjoy one of eight thatched chalets, which feature a lovely bathroom and a comfortable queen sized bed. The chalets also have canvas panelling, which can be pulled up to get the most of the camp’s surrounding vistas.

The guest area includes a dining room, comfortable sitting area and a bar, which all overlook a nearby waterhole. A sparkling swimming pool awaits guests after a successful day of game viewing. Okonjima is also home to the AfriCat Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation and protection of Namibia’s wildcats. Guests can learn more about this programme, which works towards the preservation of cheetahs and leopards. Other adventures include game drives, nature walks (which also include a guided Bushman trail) and birdwatching.
