Surrounded by the many winding channels, lagoons and floodplains of the world-renowned Okavango Delta is the superb Camp Okavango. It is here, on a remote island that guests can take in the scenic wonder of this pristine African destination. The camp accommodates 24 guests in intimate East African-style safari tents. Each tent, with its beautiful ensuite bathroom and private veranda, is raised on a wooden platform, providing breathtaking views of the Okavango forest and ensuring minimal ecological impact on its surrounds. The camp also boasts a lovely thatched cottage which is ideal for honeymooners.
The guest areas include a wildlife reference library, discerning cocktail bar, a spacious outdoor sitting area with a cosy fireplace, a dining room, plunge pool and bird-viewing hide. The camp plays host to a variety of exciting wildlife adventures such as guided nature walks on one of the many islands, exploring the delta by motorboat and mokoro (traditional dugout canoe), catch-and-release fishing and birdwatching.
