DAY 1: WINDHOEK

On arrival in Windhoek you will be welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team and driven to the Olive Grove Guest House.

Namibia's capital, Windhoek is a bustling metropolis. Set in a picturesque valley, the city's architecture bears traces of its history as a German colony. The German presence is also felt in the food, restaurants and beer. Namibian beer, brewed in Windhoek, is said to be the best in Africa.

Spend the night at the Olive Grove Guest House on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2 - 3: Etosha National Park

A light aircraft flight will take you to Mokuti Airstip in Etosha National Park.

Etosha National Park is renowned as one of Africa's great wildlife reserves. The park consists of vast grassy plains centred around a huge salt pan, which turns into a beautiful lake after heavy rains and attracts flocks of pink flamingo. Etosha is home to the Big Five, as well as rare species such as the black-faced impala, Hartmann's mountain zebra and the smallest antelope in the world, the Damara dik-dik.

Experience two nights in a fort suite at Onguma The Fort. Your stay is on a full board basis, including one scheduled activity per day.

Day 4 - 5: Damaraland

Catch a light aircraft flight to Twyfelfontein, where a vehicle will be waiting to take you to your camp.

The breathtakingly beautiful mountainous region of Damaraland is home to desert-adapted wildlife, including elephant, rhino, zebra and lion. The picturesque Brandberg, Nambia's highest mountain, boasts ancient rock paintings. The rocky outcrops of Twyfelfontein feature exceptionally preserved Bushmen carvings. Another unusual habitat is the Petrified Forest, made up of gigantic fossilised trees that date back millions of years.

Enjoy two nights in an ensuite tent at Mowani Mountain Camp. Your stay is on a full board basis. Explore the desert on two guided nature walks and a choice of two other adventures, including an elephant nature drive, a petrified forest nature drive and an excursion to Twyfelfontein, Burnt Mountain and Organ Pipes.

Day 6 - 7: Swakopmund

Fly to Swakopmund Airport, from where you will be taken to your hotel.

Swakopmund is a charmingly beautiful seaside town with cobbled streets, picturesque buildings, and typical German restaurants and pubs. The town is a popular holiday spot, offering many adventure sports. Sample some of finely-brewed local beer, as well as local fare including fish, lobster and oysters.

Spend two nights at Hotel Zum Kaiser. Your stay includes breakfast.

Day 8 - 9: NamibRand Nature Reserve

Yet another short flight will take you to Sossusvlei Airstrip.

Set in the heart of the enormous Namib-Naukluft Park, Sossusvlei is a clay pan only rarely filled by water. Visitors to the region are left spellbound by the magnificently romantic ochre-coloured dunes, some of the highest in the world.

Indulge in two nights in a romantic desert villa at nearby &Beyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge. Your stay is on a full board basis. Encounter desert-adapted animals like gemsbok, zebra, springbok, bat-eared fox, aardwolf, caracal and jackal on nature drive. Enjoy guided walks and hiking trails or quad bike rides through the dunes. A resident astronomer with a high powered telescope provides breathtaking views of clear desert skies.

Day 10: Departure

Enjoy your last views of the beauty of Namibia on a flight back to Windhoek, where your adventure with us will end.
