DAY 1 - 3: CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA

On arrival in Cape Town, you will be warmly welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team, who will drive you to the Cape Grace Hotel.

With Table Mountain at its heart and two oceans at its feet, the city of Cape Town is a famed scenic destination. Vibrant, cosmopolitan and offering an eclectic mix of old and new, this laid-back city is as much at home with its 17th century castle (whose cannons have never been fired in anger) as it is with its sleek skyscrapers and trendy malls. Home to South Africa's first mosque, oldest wine farm, a 350-year-old garden and timelessly beautiful beaches, it's no surprise the legendary Flying Dutchman and his spectral ship are said to spend eternity sailing the city's shores.

Enjoy three nights in a luxury room at the Cape Grace Hotel. Your stay includes breakfast, morning tea & coffee, luxury chauffeur transfers within a 10 km radius, Cape history and wine presentation, Cafe Complet in the morning and sherry and port in the evenings and access to a health club.

Day 4 - 5: Swakopmund, Namibia

After a delicious breakfast you will be driven to Cape Town International Airport for a flight to Swakopmund in Namibia.

Swakopmund is a charming seaside town with a strong German flavour, from cobbled streets and picturesque architecture to typical German restaurants and pubs. A popular holiday spot, the town also offers a selection of adventure sports. Finely brewed local beer and renowned Swakopmund fare such as fish, lobster and delicious oysters add to the attractions.

Relax for two nights in an ensuite room at the Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre. Your stay includes breakfast.

Day 6 - 8: NamibRand Nature Reserve, Namibia

Soar above a sea of dunes on a light aircraft flight to Sossusvlei Airstrip.

One of the highlights of any trip to Namibia is a visit to Sossusvlei, situated in the heart of the enormous Namib-Naukluft Park. A place of awe-inspiring beauty, Sossusvlei is a clay pan only rarely filled by water. The surrounding sad dunes are amongst the highest in the world.

Indulge for three nights in a desert villa at nearby &Beyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge. Your stay is on a full board basis, including adventures in the NamibRand Nature Reserve. Encounter a variety of desert animals, such as gemsbok, zebra, springbok, bat-eared fox, aardwolf, caracal and jackal, on game drives. Guided nature walks and hiking trails are also available, as are quad bike rides among the dunes.  A professional provides breathtaking views of the clear desert skies through the lodge's high-powered computerised telescope.

Day 9: Departure

Enjoy your last views of the desert as you fly to Hosea Kutako (Windhoek) International Airport for the end of your safari with us.
