Southern Sanctuaries
Fly-in safari, 9 days / 8 nights
Start anticipating your African adventure with a short summary of what you can expect each day on safari to bring.
This adventure begins at Maun Airport in Botswana and ends at Livingstone Airport in Zambia.
DAY 1 - 2: MOREMI GAME RESERVE
On arrival at Maun Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team, who will direct you onto a light aircraft flight.
The only proclaimed wildlife reserve in the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve has the most diverse habitat and animal population in Botswana. The reserve stretches over a quarter of the Okavango Delta, comprising a stunning landscape of forests, lagoons, floodplains and islands. Resident species include lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, wild dog, zebra, red lechwe and many more.
Relax for two nights in a luxury bush pavillion at Sanctuary Chief's Camp. Your stay includes all meals daily, teas, coffees, local brand drinks, game viewing activities, park fees and laundry. Adventures include morning and afternoon game drives, as well as seasonal mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) excursions.
Day 3 - 4: Okavango Delta
Hop aboard a light aircraft flight to Pom Pom Airstrip, where a member of the &Beyond team will be waiting to take you to the lodge of your choice.
A maze of sparkling lagoons, meandering channels and overgrown islands, the Okavango Delta lies like a sparkling jewel at the heart of the Kalahari Desert. Crystal clear channels spread over the thirstlands of the Kalahari, with their papyrus-fringed banks and fertile floating islands.
Spend two nights at your choice of either &Beyond Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp or &Beyond Xudum Okavango Delta Lodge. Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, teas and coffees, emergency medical evacuation insurance, laundry and park fees. Adventures include twice-daily game drives, boating and mokoro excursions and guided walks. Scenic helicopter flights are available at an additional cost.
Day 5 - 6: Chobe National Park
Another light aircraft flight will take you to Kasane Airport, from where you will be driven to your lodge.
Known as one of the top wilderness reserves in the world and home to the largest single concentration of elephant, Chobe National Park is a wildlife enthusiast's dream. Through out the year, heard of buffalo and elephant can be seen drinking at the river's edge, with their numbers swelling to hundreds and thousands during the dry season.
Indulge in two nights in a luxury cottage overlooking the Chobe River at Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero. Your stay includes meals, beverages (except premium brands), game viewing activities, park fees and laundry. Adventures include game drives led by professional guides, motorised boat safaris, sundowner cruises on the Chobe River and fishing excursions.
Day 7 - 8: Victoria Falls
Today you will be drive to Kasane, where a vehicle will be waiting to take you across the border into Zambia, clearing customs and immigration en route.
One of the world's greatest natural spectacles, Victoria Falls is a World Heritage Site. Long before the Scottish missionary and explore Dr David Livingstone 'discovered' the falls in 1855, the local Batonga people had named them Mosi-oa-Tunya, 'the smoke that thunders'. Today the area is the adrenalin capital of Africa, home to adventure sports from bungee jumping to canoeing and white water rafting.
Unwind for two nights in an elegant treehouse at Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma. Your stay includes all meals, all beverages (excepting premium brands), all game viewing activities, a tour of the Falls, traditional village tour, sundowner cruise, park fees and laundry.
Day 9: Departure
After a mouth watering breakfast, you will be driven to Livingstone Airport, where your adventure with us will end.
