It is always a pleasure to receive feedback on how the &Beyond
experience has touched our guests. For many of them, a life-long love
affair with Africa's wide open spaces and its incredible wildlife has
started at one of our lodges across the continent. Others have formed
lasting friendships with the warm and welcoming &Beyonders they
have met on safari. Here is just a sample of the incredible comments we
have been receiving from our guests staying at Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp.

A DREAM COME TRUE

DEBORAH BLATTSTEIN
"My &Beyond trip was an experience of a lifetime. The people were wonderful at all the lodges we visited, but we had an especially fun time at Grumeti, where our group put on our own show for the staff in which we did a rendition of Old McDonald and we were each one of the local animals. We ended the night singing and dancing with the staff. It was fabulous."
The animals we saw on the trip were a dream come true. My only regret was that I did not see a live animal birth (although it was calving time for both zebra and wildebeest and there were certainly hundreds of newborns around us each day). I am an Ob/Gyn and had hoped to encounter a zebra or wildebeest in labor. We were blessed to see more than the usual share of cheetah, which was particularly exciting. My favorites were the three baby lion cubs playing on the log. The whole adventure was just unbelievable. I would love to be able to do it again, and to be able to take my mother and daughter with me so we could all experience it together.

"I traveled with my husband, brother and 12 year old nephew. Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp was an amazing experience for all of us."
The staff was exceptional, the lodging was wonderful and the wildlife viewing was outstanding. It was truly a memorable experience. What an amazing place to share with a 12-year-old.

BEYOND THE IMAGINATION

ANDREW FISH
"The special attention my wife and I received from the incredible staff at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge and Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp showed us a side of Africa few I know have ever seen."
Whether it was a special trip to visit the Maasai or an early morning personal guide to the Great Migration. And the personal stories of the staff regarding their own lives, their training to serve with your organization, and their intense commitment to their own families provided an incredible and unanticipated dimension. You have truly created a magical combination and we salute you for your efforts.

"Arriving at Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp was one of my greatest holiday experiences. The joy, fascination and wonder of such wildlife and wilderness."
My wife and I had just finished a walk to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro and our butler told us we may have trouble sleeping, as the night would be alive with the sound of animals. Can I tell you - we were so tired from Kili and the bed was so comfortable we slept soundly for hours. Finally, we spoke to a lot of other guests, who all said the same thing - a camp such as Grumeti is fantastic.

MAGIC TRIP

BIRGITTA SIGFRIDSSON-HARQUAIL
"Our trip was pure magic. Absolutely fantastic! The kids amused themselves by trying to construct the ultimate place by mixing lodge / surroundings / butler / ranger into one, with lots of discussion - the combinations are endless and they also kept changing their minds!"
I think the only change I would do is reversing the order and starting with Lake Manyara Tree Camp - with all the bush you see less animals. I felt sorry for our ranger; he was desperately trying to find us something new, but we had seen so much at our previous camps it was impossible. We didn't mind at all, we enjoyed the new and different scenery, had an exciting run in with an elephant on our hike, frolicked in the pool, had an unforgettable birthday celebration for Peter (now 14), with the staff singing and dancing, finishing off with a Masaai warrior giving him a spear. For a 14-year-old nothing can beat that! We all caught the "Mal d'Afrique" and miss it desperately. Thanks again, I am recommending this to everyone.
