Lake Manyara Tree Lodge Guest Stories
Tell us about your journey and your thoughts and impressions of Africa.
It is always a pleasure to receive feedback on how the &Beyond experience has touched our guests. For many of them, a life-long love affair with Africa's wide open spaces and its incredible wildlife has started at one of our lodges across the continent. Others have formed lasting friendships with the warm and welcoming &Beyonders they have met on safari. Here is just a sample of the incredible comments we have been receiving from our guests staying at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge.
Ben & Molly Lawder - Absolutely beautiful
"We enjoyed a brief stay at the Lake Manyara Tree Lodge upon arrival to Tanzania. Despite it being REALLY dry at at the time, we really enjoyed our time at the camp as well as our games drives in and out of the park. "
The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful. We loved staying in our own private tree house, complete with a bubble bath, outdoor shower, sitting area, and more. The kitchen theater and dinner beneath a ring of torches at night was very romantic. We go to see many elephants, giraffes, and hippos up close in addition to a plethora of other animals and birds.
Guest - Better than Perfect
"Between thebeautiful Swahili Choir, the Double Champagne bottle wedding, the sunset/fireside bottle of Pink champagne, the sunset sail cruise, the triple layer wedding cake, the 99,000,000 million roses AND the beautiful singing of the staffs at Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater Lodge………"
YOU made an otherwise (simply) LUXURY safari turn into a “fairy-tale” trip!!
Josh Spiegel - Night Game Drive
"We had a Maasai spotter sitting on a little seat on top of the hood with a spotlight and another park ranger sporting a semi automatic rifle literally sitting shotgun. We saw some amazing animals that are very difficult to spot during the day, including the serval cat and the bushbaby."
Near the end of the night drive we stumbled upon a male lion crossing the road; after following him for a few minutes he began to quietly roar. It turns out that he was calling the female, who was a little way away. She responded to his call and for about five minutes they were calling back and forth to each other, raising the volume each time. I lost the bet with Valerie, since, in the end, the male lion slowly got up and walked to the female. We followed the happy couple for some time and, whenever we lost sight of one or both, I felt an incredible rush because we were in an open jeep and who knows what they were up to.
Guest - Royal Treatment
"&Beyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is a dream cabin in the woods. Liberati was a fantastic butler. He provided us with a small Swahili book, which was fabulous and well used throughout the trip. "
We saw many interesting things and had a wonderful, relaxing visit. We enjoyed a few hours by the pool, too. The food at Manyara was wonderful, and Lauren and I loved our room. The Maasai who walked us to and from our rooms were really great also. We looked around the gift shop and really liked almost everything there. My niece and I felt like we were truly valued guests every step of the way on this trip. We very much appreciated being given the “royal treatment”.
Edwin van der Laan - Tanzanian safari
"We had the most exciting and marvelous time with &Beyond in Tanzania. Everything went very well and was very well organized."
We have seen and experienced things that exceeded our expectations. We want to thank you and all the members of &Beyond for the great vacation. My wife said to me that it was the most beautiful week of her life. Thanks and I will come back again with my niece to Africa. Edwin, Jeanette and Ilse
