Activities included at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge

At Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, it is our passion to share our knowledge and understanding of the bush and its inhabitants with our guests. Our highly trained guides will do their very utmost to delight our guests on the following adventures:

• Twice daily game drives - go in search of Lake Manyara's famous tree climbing lions and vast herds of elephant on early morning and late afternoon / early evening game drives accompanied by an expert ranger. Head out on game drive as the dawn breaks over the walls of the Rift Valley and the animals begin to stir. Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is the only lodge in the national park and, as it is far away from the gate, guests do not frequently encounter other vehicles while on game drive, particularly early in the morning. However, they may be lucky enough to spot a pride of lion guarding the remains of last night's feast or a cheetah heading back from the hunt. Large herds take advantage of the cool morning hours to graze before the heat of the day. On late afternoon game drives, guests can watch the sun slowly sink over flocks of flamingo on the shores of Lake Manyara.
