"We were at Exeter River Lodge for three nights in early July 2007. Our accommodations were outstanding and the food was excellent, but the most impressive thing overall was the staff. From the wait staff to our guide/drive, Andrew, everyone was unbelievably friendly, helpful, cheerful ... just great."
Our drives were awesome. For example, we started our stay with a leopard / lion sighting and ended our stay with an early morning sighting of nine white rhino gathering together to enjoy their breakfast. We truly did not want to leave. My husband is an avid birder and our guide pointed out birds for him constantly on all of our drives ... in fact, this was one of his big interests and they swapped sighting stories. I can honestly say that I did not want to leave and actually cried when we drove away. My cousin and her husband were with us and they had the same reaction. This was not my first trip to South Africa and hopefully it will not be my last. It is for me a truly magical and spiritual place.

The best part about the &Beyond organization is the synchronicity you have with the animals and the environment. It was truly amazing how well everyone understood nature and how we were able to get a true glimpse of the lives of incredible wildlife (although sometimes it was so unbelievable that we would joke "release the leopard"). The service and the people were also outstanding - we felt so pampered! We have been raving about the experience with your company to everyone we know. In terms of suggestions for improvement - we have thought about that one long and hard. Every time we think of something, we come up with a reason why you would not change things ... for example, I was thinking you could put a bit more detail on what to expect on the website - the schedule, a few photos of the safari experience, a sample menu - but then again, the mystery of it was perfect too, so I'm not sure. In any case, thanks a million for all your help and to everyone at &Beyond and Exeter River Lodge ... a heartfelt thanks for an outstanding vacation.
