Tell us about your journey and your thoughts and impressions of Africa.
It is always a pleasure to receive feedback on how the &Beyond experience has touched our guests. For many of them, a life-long love affair with Africa's wide open spaces and its incredible wildlife has started at one of our lodges across the continent. Others have formed lasting friendships with the warm and welcoming &Beyonders they have met on safari. Here is just a sample of the incredible comments we have been receiving from our guests staying at Phinda Private Game Reserve.

"Huge thank you to Bruce & Siphoso of The Mountain their info and Game Tracking was more than marvellous"
. We were told to keep very quiet as there were little lights ahead maybe "Poachers" we were told and as we turned the corner there was "fairy land" lanterns, snacks, drinks and candles so special. That memory will last forever

"What an adventure of a lifetime, with guides, trackers and staff who know their stuff, and are 100% dedicated to making your stay a trip of a lifetime!"
The accommodation is outstanding, the food incredible, the scenery and wildlife spectacular, and the experience one that will live on in our memories and pictures for ever. Thank you &Beyond! We were lucky enough to see the Big Five, including a very close up view of a leopard, and watch a lion and lioness mating. And bush dinner! Need I say more? Our only regret is that we didn't stay just one more night to make the experience last longer ... we hope to be back soon!

Thank you very much for taking such great care of my group from the International Food and Wine Society when we recently visited &Beyond Phinda. It has definitely made all the difference to the guests and they all felt that their safari was the perfect ending to their stay in South Africa, from the Food (Dave - the food was fabulous) to the game viewing (awesome - all guests were blown away by their sightings so please send a huge thank you to all the rangers and trackers) to the managing - Andrew and Hayley - you were awesome and were an integral part of the success of the group. It has been fabulous working with all of you - you have an amazing team.
Thomas Kock - Thanks for everything!

"It was the best experience, right from the beginning, when I made the booking. There were always follow-ups and to ask for any assistance needed."
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Phinda and the people exceeded our (high) expectations by far. Cornelius, in particular, looked after us so well and did an outstanding job in making our safari unforgettable. We really enjoyed Mike's excitement about the wildlife at Phinda. It happens that the rangers just tell you look here, look there, but you don't feel their excitement. Instead, Mike made this a real safari experience with his excitement and spirit. So, overall, it is difficult to find the right words for this experience. And I do hope to have the opportunity to stay either at Phinda or at another &Beyond game lodge again.

THE ANDREWS HONEYMOON

"On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who took our car keys and then we were escorted to a fabulous lunch. We were then escorted to our room to have a bit of a rest before we were whisked away on a game drive. Before the game drive we all met up for tea and coffee, and to meet the game ranger and the other guests. It was magical being in the bush ... one with nature."
We tracked lions, and saw elephant and many other creatures. All of a sudden we stopped and our friendly game ranger whipped out a table and tablecloth, and set up a spread fit for a king. Here we were in the middle of nowhere and we were having sundowners while watching the sun sink low beneath the earth. We then resumed our drive, while sitting in a comfortable game vehicle, wrapped up in blankets (on chilly nights). After a while, we headed back to camp in time for a hearty meal and time to catch up with other guests on what they had seen during their game drive that evening. The food was fantastic. After our fabulous meal we headed back to our room (under the supervision of rangers). We were exhausted, but in a good way. On arrival back in our room we found our bath filled with rose petals and champagne on ice, what a fantastic sight for sore eyes. We had a leisurely soak in the tub, while sipping on champagne, and then off to bed. We were awakened early the next morning for coffee and cookies, and off to an early start for our game drive, where we were once again lucky enough to see some fantastic animals. We stopped for a sunrise snack and some more very welcome coffee. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five while on honeymoon, which was the highlight of our trip ... obviously while in the lap of luxury. We headed back to camp for a hearty breakfast in the bush and, once again, caught up with other guests on their exciting morning. We didn't want our morning to end, as we knew we would have to head back to civilisation, which was a nasty thought after being close to nature for a while. It was a fantastic experience, but was not long enough. We need to do it again soon. It was an experience never to be forgotten! Thank you for your hospitality.
