It is always a pleasure to receive feedback on how the &Beyond experience has touched our guests. For many of them, a life-long love affair with Africa's wide open spaces and its incredible wildlife has started at one of our lodges across the continent. Others have formed lasting friendships with the warm and welcoming &Beyonders they have met on safari. Here is just a sample of the incredible comments we have been receiving from our guests staying at Ngala Private Game Reserve.

I arrived with some very special friends at Ngala on Jan. 29, 2012. I can honestly say this is the most awesome vacation experience I have ever had. The accommadations were outstanding and our guide, Dyke, and his assistant, Zub Zub, were, without exception, the best! On our first outing we saw almost immediately a beautiful giraffe walking down the dirt road. Then, we saw a pride of 10 lions as well as small antelope, impala, wilderbeast, a baby hyena and losts of birds, turtles, etc. On our second outing we found a large herd of elephants (my favorite) young and old, hyenas, a hippo and a pack of wild dogs. Dyke was very pleased with this since they ar evidently a rare sighting. I was the first one to spot them so I was considered the lucky charm from then on. We then saw zebras & more elephants. On our third outing we saw a black rhino (another raw sighting), more elephants, a water buffalo, & more impala. I really hated to see our last outing come to a close on the morning of Jan. 31. We saw the wild dogs again trying to attack a herd of wilderbeast with no luck. Saw more elephants, zebras, impala, and a kudu. This is a holiday I will never forget and the experience of a lifetime. I truly hope I can visit Ngala again. Thank you to all the staff for making my trip so enjoyable.

"We're relaxing with a cold South African Sauvignon Blanc in armchairs on the veranda of the thatched lodge at Ngala."
There are warthogs digging up the lawn and kudu eating white flowers off to our right but everyone is watching the 24 elephants in the waterhole just in front of us. The big matriarch stands guard while the herd play: there's water everywhere, with little being swallowed, except by those unruly youngsters who've taken over the swimming pool. Clean comfortable rooms, imaginative fresh food, smiling attentive staff, two game drives a day - this is a magical place!

This was definitely the holiday of a lifetime. When my friends and myself decided to do something special for our 50th birthdays South Africa was the halfway point for us. I'd always wanted to go on'safari'! My holiday experience at Ngala is something that I shall treasure. It was one of the most spectacular holidays I've ever had. The guides, Sam and Barney were brilliant and the search for a leopard at night was truly wonderful. The lodges, food and service were exceptional. I would recommend Ngala, it's great! I managed to see all the big five, the hunt for the lions was another day to remember. Drinking gin and tonic as hyenas walked nearby, eating pancakes for breakfast and sharing good food with our travelling companions are but a few of my favourite memories.

"Just returned from South Africa where we spent 3 amazing weeks including helicopter rides / whale watching / shark cage diving seeing 10 great white sharks including a 14 footer but the definite highlight for me and my 3 boys aged 11, 8 and 6 years was our 5 night stay in Ngala "
We saw the big 5 plus wild dogs and my favourite, the honey badger. Also another highlight was the dark chanting goshawk having just snared a Cape Francolin just in front of our landrover. This was my second visit and was as magical as last time.
