Kwandwe is located in the malaria-free Eastern Cape near Grahamstown. The reserve lies approximately sixty five kilometres from the coast and is located in near proximity to the renowned Garden Route.

FLIGHTS

SCHEDULED FLIGHTS

A flight from Port Elizabeth directly to the Kwandwe air strip takes approximately 30 minutes. Flights directly to the game reserve are scheduled for the morning or early afternoon to allow arriving guests to enjoy an afternoon game drive on their day of arrival. Please note that luggage is generally limited to 20 kg per person. 

Transfers

Guests are advised to fly to Port Elizabeth and proceed to Kwandwe by road or air transfer. The distance from Port Elizabeth to Kwandwe is 160 km (100 miles) and can be comfortably covered by road in an hour and 45 minutes. On arrival, guests will leave their vehicle at our car park at Heatherton Towers and will be transferred to the lodge of their choice by open safari vehicle.
