Tell us about your journey and your thoughts and impressions of Africa.
It is always a pleasure to receive feedback on how the &Beyond experience has touched our guests. For many of them, a life-long love affair with Africa's wide open spaces and its incredible wildlife has started at one of our lodges across the continent. Others have formed lasting friendships with the warm and welcoming &Beyonders they have met on safari. Here is just a sample of the incredible comments we have been receiving from our guests staying at Sossusvlei Desert Lodge.

QUAD TRIP IN THE DUNES

ANJA SCHMID
"The most impressive experience was a trip with quads in the dunes. We never saw anything exciting like that!"
Really, really nice people, superfriendly staff, amazing scenery. It was only topped by a visit to the observatory at the lodge. There are not enough words to describe what we felt when we looked at the beautiful African sky. As it was our honeymoon, these pictures of Sossusvlei Desert Lodge and the whole Anderssons safari trip will be forever in our hearts!
Maurice Ozmond - The sand dunes

THE SAND DUNES

MAURICE OZMOND
"Unforgettable dawn visit to the dunes and the surprise at the end of the drive when an immaculate breakfast was laid out for us in one of the best locations we have ever eaten a meal."
The quad bike ride on the local dunes was quite an experience for us, being of mature years. The food was superb and the staff exceptional. We also met some very interesting guests from other countries. This same quality of service and variation of surprise events has been just as enjoyable at both Phinda Rock Lodge and Kwandwe in 2008 when, due to the guest numbers, we had the personal service of the excellent ranger 'Toast' for most of our time there.
Marcel Hartman - Toilet

TOILET

MARCEL HARTMAN
"When going to the toilet my wife wanted to close the door to be out of sight."
She found out the only one who could see here were the foxes, oryx and other animals in the desert in front of the lodge. There is just glass to be as close to nature as you can. You don't need any privacy from animals or nature.
