It is always a pleasure to receive feedback on how the &Beyond experience has touched our guests. For many of them, a life-long love affair with Africa's wide open spaces and its incredible wildlife has started at one of our lodges across the continent. Others have formed lasting friendships with the warm and welcoming &Beyonders they have met on safari. "Savute Under Canvas was definitely a lot more than I was expecting. We were so impressed by the friendly staff. Sam, our guide, was a good guy. We loved sitting out by the fire at night and I couldn’t believe the bucket showers. The bucket showers and toilets weren’t rustic at all … AND we had hot water after each safari in the morning and the afternoon. I mean, it was great! The food was also so great!"

The meals were so elaborate! I think Savute was a really good camp, I don’t see how you could change anything. And the best part of the trip was actually when we left and we had to clear the animals off the runway in order for the plane to land, and an elephant got a little agitated with this and actually charged us, which I thought was really exciting! It was an absolutely amazing trip and I honestly don't think anything could ever beat that trip. I still rave about it today and I'll probably rave about the trip forever.

"We are all very glad that we incorporated a tented camp into our trip. We really felt closer to it all having a thin layer of canvas between us and the animals. "

On our first night we had a leopard walk right through camp while we sat around the fire. The second night we had elephants all around and within our camp and we listened as a pride of lions tried to take down an elephant a few hundred meters from our camp (really cool to listen to). The food was great and we were well taken care of. Overall it was a really great experience. You were right, we will be back!
