Spectacular Selous

This safari begins and ends at Dar es Salaam International Airport. 

DAY 1: DAR ES SALAAM

On arrival at Dar es Salaam International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team, who will drive you to your hotel.

Despite its name, which means 'abode of peace' in Arabic, Dar es Salaam is Tanzania's largest and busiest city. It is the country's most important business and commercial hub and is situated right on the Indian Ocean. It is the main port of call for most visitors, as it is the ideal place from which to access both the wilderness areas and the beaches of Tanzania and Zanzibar. Most visitors en route to the better-known Tanzanian attractions are surprised by the charm of this unassuming city and find themselves yearning for more time to explore its hidden secrets.

Spend the night in an ensuite room at The Oyster Bay. Your stay includes accommodation, all meals and drinks, a service charge and transport to / from Dar es Salaam airports or harbour.

Day 2 - 4: Selous Game Reserve

Enjoy a wholesome breakfast before you are driven to Dar es Salaam Domestic Airport, where you will board a scheduled flight to the Selous Game Reserve.  On arrival, a vehicle will be waiting to take you to the lodge or camp of your choice. 

Secluded and off the beaten track, the Selous Game Reserve offers a slice of undisturbed wilderness, teeming with a spectacular array of fauna and flora. Its dramatic landscapes and great diversity of wildlife have earned it the status of a World Heritage Site. The Selous is one of the few big game reserves to allow hiking, offering wildlife enthusiasts the chance to explore Tanzania's pristine landscapes on foot.

Enjoy three nights at your choice of the following:

• A riverside room at Sand Rivers Selous, where your stay includes accommodation, three meals daily, all drinks (except champagne), laundry, transport to and from Kiba Airstrip, all safari activities (including fly-camping, which must be pre-booked) and a private car and guide (when available)
• An ensuite tent at Siwandu Camp, where your stay includes accommodation, three meals daily, tea, coffee, basic laundry, all drinks (except champagne), transport to and from Siwandu Airstrip and two activities per day
  

Day 5: Departure

After a delicious breakfast you will be driven to the airstrip for a return flight to Dar es Salaam Domestic Airport.
