DAY 1: ARUSHA

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team, who will drive you to your lodge.

This attractive little town is situated beneath the towering peaks of Mt Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro. Renowned as the safari capital of Tanzania, Arusha offers a plethora of attractions and adventures. The town has numerous first-class restaurants, bars and markets to browse and is the ideal place to spend a few relaxing days before embarking on a safari.

Spend the night in a chalet at Lake Duluti Lodge. Your stay includes breakfast.

Day 2 - 4: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will be driven to Arusha Airport, where you will board a flight to Klein’s or Grumeti Airstrip.

The Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly one of the world's most celebrated wilderness areas and is an ongoing source of inspiration to writers, film makers and photographers. Tanzania's oldest game reserve, it is renowned for the part it plays in the annual Great Migration, when an estimated two million antelope migrate to Kenya's Masai Mara. This epic, seasonal journey is a deeply moving experience.

Relax in pure bliss for three nights at your choice of the following:

  • A thatched cottage at &Beyond Klein’s Camp. Your stay is on a full board basis, including concession fees and lodge adventures. Adventures include game drives (including spotlit night drives) and nature walks. Visits to a Maasai community can be booked at an additional cost.

Day 5 & 6: Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy an early morning game drive and scrumptious breakfast before returning to the airstrip for a flight to Manyara Airstrip.  On landing you will be met by a member of the &Beyond team, who will drive you to your lodge.

The Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area is home to more than 30 000 protected animals. Known for its spectacular beauty and excellent game viewing, it is a truly unique and dramatically romantic safari destination in Africa. The Ngorongoro Crater, once a gigantic volcano, is the largest intact caldera in the world. Nearly three million years old, the ancient caldera shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens on earth. Black rhino are protected within its rim, giant tusked elephants wander the forests, black-maned lions stalk the grasslands and flamingos crowd the soda lakes, and ideal romantic safari.

Indulge in two nights in a sumptuously romantic suite at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.

Day 7 - 10: Mnemba Island

Tuck into breakfast before being driven to Manyara Airstrip for a flight to Zanzibar Airport. On landing, you will be met by a member of the &Beyond team, who will drive you through the romantic island of Zanzibar for a boat ride to Mnemba Island.

The pristine white beaches of Mnemba Island, surrounded by deep blue ocean, combine to make this intimate island a private tropical paradise. While the dazzling sands and brilliant sunshine invite visitors to spend idle hours on shore, magnificent coral reefs create an underwater wonderland that lures guests to a world of incredible sea creatures. Set off the northern tip of Zanzibar and surrounded by a coral atoll, Mnemba is home to a staggering diversity of marine life.

Linger for four nights in a Zanzibari-themed banda at &Beyond Mnemba Island Lodge.

Day 11: Departure

A short boat trip to the mainland is followed by the drive back to Zanzibar Airport, from where a light aircraft flight will take you to Dar es Salaam International Airport.
