This adventure begins and ends at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. Taken an SA Express scheduled domestic flight from Johannesburg to Richards Bay Airport. On arrival in Richards Bay, you will be warmly welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team and driven to &Beyond Phinda Private Game Reserve.

DAY 1 - 3: PHINDA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE

Set within easy reach of the Indian Ocean coastline, &Beyond Phinda Private Game Reserve is known for its abundant wildlife, diversity of habitats and wide range of safari activities. Thanks to its coastal rainfall pattern, the Reserve enjoys a lush, green environment that contains seven distinct ecosystems, known as the Seven Worlds of Wonder. This fascinating variety of landscape and vegetation shelters an abundance of wildlife, including not only the Big Five but many rarer and more easily spotted species, such as the elusive cheetah or the scarce black rhino. Adding to Phinda's wildlife charms, the marine diversity of nearby Sodwana Bay is easily accessible, with scuba diving, fishing and even turtle watching only some of the adventures available from Phinda.

Choose between three nights in a suite at Phinda Forest Lodge or Phinda Mountain Lodge. Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beer, teas and coffees, scheduled safari activities, refreshments on game drives, one-hour nature walks accompanied by experienced armed trackers (subject to availability), emergency medical evacuation insurance and laundry.

Day 4 - 5: Ballito

After your morning game drive and breakfast, you will be driven to the seaside resort town of Ballito.

Ballito is a playground for surfers, fishermen and sunbathers alike. Here, pods of up to 200 bottlenose dolphins frolic amongst the waves that crash along KwaZulu Natal’s renowned Dolphin Coast, a breathtaking stretch of golden sand beaches bordered by lush tropical vegetation. Ballito was formed in 1953 by a group of entrepreneurs searching for the ideal spot for development in the Compensation Beach area. Today, this sun-drenched region offers its visitors a friendly village-style atmosphere in which to enjoy a myriad activities, range from hiking, scuba diving, fishing and sailing to dining at a wonderful selection of eateries and shopping in first-class boutique stores and centres.

Spend two nights in a deluxe seaview room at Fairmont Zimbali Resort. Your stay includes breakfast.

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast you will be driven to King Shaka International Airport in Durban, where you will board a scheduled domestic flight back to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.
