Day by Day - Family Sun City & Safari

This safari begins and ends at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

DAY 1 - 3: SUN CITY

On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team, who will help you with the collection of your rental vehicle and will hand you the travel directions to Sun City.

Situated on an extinct volcano, Sun City has plenty to offer pleasure seekers. Apart from beautifully designed hotels, Sun City offers just about any form of entertainment one could dream of. From a beach with real waves, two world-class golf courses and a lake where one can parasail and ski to a host of pools, rides and slides, the fun never stops. With casinos, games arcades, live shows and movies, guests are truly spoiled for choice.

Relax for three nights in a two-bedroom Flamingo Suite at the Sun City Cascades Hotel. Your stay includes breakfast.

Day 4 & 5: Madikwe Game Reserve

Drive to nearby Madikwe Game Reserve.

Set in a malaria-free area near the border with Botswana, the Madikwe Game Reserve is famed for Operation Phoenix, the world's largest game translocation exercise. Established almost 20 years ago, the reserve successfully reintroduced more than 8 000 animals of 28 species, including lion, elephant and buffalo, as well as black and white rhino. Apart from wildlife, the region also boasts a rich history, ranging from Stone Age relics to the passage of Mzilikazi and a range of European explorers and missionaries.

Spend two nights in two spacious suites at &Beyond Madikwe Safari Lodge. Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local branded spirits and beers, tea and coffee, emergency medical evacuation insurance, laundry and two game drives per day.

Day 6: Departure

Drive back to OR Tambo International Airport, where you will drop off your rental car.  A member of the &Beyond team will be waiting at the check-in counter to see you safely on your departure flight.
