5 days / 4 nights
Start anticipating your Masai Mara adventure with a short summary of what you can expect each day to bring.
Your Masai Mara safari begins and ends at Jomo Kenyatta Airport.
DAY 1: MASAI MARA
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a member of the &Beyond team, who will drive you to Wilson Airport, where you will catch a flight to the Masai Mara.
Kenya's most renowned wilderness destination, the Masai Mara offers exceptional game viewing, including the opportunity to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, one of nature's greatest wildlife spectacles. The home of classical safari, the park takes its name from the Mara River, which flows through the reserve, as well as from the Maasai people.
Spend four nights in an ensuite tent at &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp. Your stay includes meals, tea and coffee, private activities, use of a private vehicle, transfers between the camp and Kichwa Airstrip and emergency medical evacuation insurance.
Day 2: Masai Mara
Setting off in the early morning, you will experience the breathtaking beauty of the Masai Mara on a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon flight. You will pass over endless plains, sail over the dramatic Mara River, watching wildlife traverse lush swamps and cruise over flourishing forests.
Later that day, you will have the opportunity to experience the Oloololo Escarpment Trail, which lead from the camp to the top of the nearby escarpment, from where you can enjoy spectacular views of the entire reserve, as well as the Mara River and the riverine forest that fringes it.
Day 3: Masai Mara
Enjoy a beautiful bush breakfast on the tranquil banks of the Mara River or on the magnificent Oloololo Escarpment, offering panoramic views of the plains below. In the evening, the thrill of a night drive on the Kichwa Tembo concession awaits you, giving you the opportunity to observe nocturnal wildlife.
Day 4: Masai Mara
Today you will have the opportunity to visit an authentic Maasai village. You will be guided through the village by an English-speaking Maasai villager, who will introduce you to the daily hustle and bustle of their way of life. You will also have the opportunity to browse through the Maasai Craft Centrea and purchase artifacts and souvenirs that are made in the village. At the end of a day, indulge in a delicious bush dinner served in a memorable setting beneath the stars, followed by fireside entertainment by a traditional band.
Day 5: Departure
Today you will leave the Masai Mara on a flight back to Wilson Airport. On arrival, you will be met by a member of the &Beyond team, who will take you back to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your international flight.
