DAY 1: NAIROBI

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by a member from the &Beyond team who will assist you onto your transfer vehicle. You will then be transferred to The Emakoko where you will spend the night.

Kenya’s capital is one of the largest and most influential cities in Africa, an important commercial and financial regional hub. It is the port of entry for most travellers to Kenya and offers bustling markets, interesting history and numerous attractions. Named after a Maasai watering hole, “enkare nyarobi”, which means “place of cool waters”, Nairobi is known for its leafy streets and parks. The skyline, with towering skyscrapers and imposing architecture also draws the attention of every arrival to the city. Not-to-be-missed is a visit to the city’s beautiful Uhuru Park.

Stay for one night at The Emakoko in a comfortable cottage with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes accommodation, all meals, soft drinks, beer, house wine, non-luxury spirits, game drives, a visit to the Giraffe Centre and Daphne Sheldricks, all airport transfers (Wilson Airport & Jomo Kenyatta International Airport), as well as internet access.

For a little something extra, why not enjoy a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre, as well as a tour of the Daphne Sheldrick

* Additional activity

Discover three of Nairobi’s most loved attractions on this delightful three-hour excursion. Your journey will begin with a short exploration of the Karen Blixen Museum, for a glimpse into the fascinating world of this pioneer coffee farmer, who achieved world fame through her highly-acclaimed memoir, “Out of Africa”. Your next stop will take you to the renowned Giraffe Centre, where you will be given a rare opportunity to get up-close to these gentle giants in this natural sanctuary, which has been founded by Jock Leslie-Melville, the Kenyan grandson of a Scottish Earl, to protect the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. A heart-warming visit to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage will wrap up your outing ― here, you can witness the heroic efforts of the dedicated team who rehabilitate orphaned elephant calves and other vulnerable animals.

Day 2 - 4: Chyulu Hills National Park

After a scrumptious breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Wilson Airport in time for your scheduled SafariLink flight to Chyulu Airstrip. On arrival, you will be met by a representative from Ol Donyo who will then ensure that you are safely transferred through to the lodge.

The striking and diverse landscapes of the Chyulu Hills National Park are tucked away between the renowned Tsavo West and Amboseli National Parks. The park includes a collection of ancient volcanic cinder cones and craters, with the most recent volcanic peak forming just 500 years ago. It is also home to the longest lava tube in the world. Visitors will delight in the breathtaking vistas of Mt Kilimanjaro and the wonderful selection of game, which includes buffalo, antelope, elephant, leopard, wildebeest and zebra. The birdwatchers paradise of Lake Jipe lies in the south-west corner of the park.

Stay for three nights at ol Donyo Lodge in a family suite with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, local brand beer and house wine, laundry and scheduled activities.

Day 5 - 7: Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will be transferred by road back to the Chyulu Airstrip in time for your scheduled SafariLink flight to the Masai Mara National Reserve. On arrival, you will be met by a representative from Mara Plains and assisted with your transfer to the camp.

The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most renowned game park and forms the northern extension of the Serengeti. Its legendary Great Migration, of over two million wildebeest and other antelope, has been described as one of nature’s greatest wildlife spectacles — and an experience every safari enthusiast should witness at least once in their lifetime. Game viewing in this celebrated park is wonderful all round the year, with virtually guaranteed sightings of the Big Five. The park takes its name from the Mara River, which flows through the reserve, and the Maasai people, a tribe whose red dress and proud demeanour have ensured they are probably Kenya’s best-known (and most-photographed) people.

Stay for three nights at the Mara Plains Camp, in a tent with an ensuite bathroom (shower only). Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, beer, house wine, laundry, shared scheduled activities including night drives and transfers to and from Ol Kiombo Airstrip.

Please note that your check in time is 11h00 and check out time is 10h00 (no late departures will be permitted).

Day 8: Departure
