2010 - Condé Nast Traveler World Savers Award
&Beyond has once again received the honour of one of the Condé Nast Traveler World Savers Awards. This year &Beyond came first in the small hotels category for Health Initiatives at Kwandwe Private Game Reserve, and was runner up overall.
2010 - East Africa Shines
The latest issue of Travel + Leisure features their annual World’s Best Awards for 2010, as voted by the readers. Jumping nine spots from last year, we are delighted to see &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Masai Mara Tented Camp at #30 in the year’s Top 100 Hotels. In the Top 20 Lodges and Resorts in Africa & the Middle East, Kichwa Tembo takes the #7 spot and &Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge sits at #14.
2010 - A World Leader in Responsible Tourism
We are thrilled to announce that &Beyond has been voted Africa’s Leading Responsible Tourism Company at the prestigious 2010 World Travel Awards! Not only that, but we also received Africa’s Leading Responsible Tourism Award. Described by the Wall Street Journal as the ‘Oscars’ of the travel industry, this is a great accolade for our company and a fantastic endorsement of our responsible tourism practices.
2010 - World's Greatest Hotels, Resorts and Spas
&Beyond Xudum Okavango Delta Lodge is included in the 2010 Edition of Travel+Leisure’s World’s Greatest Hotels, Resorts and Spas. Referred to as “the iconoclastic new kid in town”, Xudum is hailed for its “part-land, part-water experience on a wildlife reserve that’s one of the largest in any permanent African Delta.” The article makes special mention of Xudum’s nine suites that are “furnished with canopied platform beds, freestanding porcelain tubs, and recycled side tables crafted, astonishingly enough, from rubber tires and beer cans.”
2010 - 5 Gold Stars
More than 25 000 readers of Condé Nast Traveler (US) recently voted for their 681 favourite hotels, resorts and cruise lines in the 16th annual Gold List of the World’s Best Places to Stay. In the Africa and Middle East category, we are delighted to see four &Beyond properties listed: Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge, Phinda Private Game Reserve, Madikwe Safari Lodge and Lake Manyara Tree Lodge. In the Best by Design category, &Beyond Phinda Private Game Reserve earned the #2 spot in all of Africa and the Middle East.
